All tiny houses are built on trailers which are specifically made to be the foundation of tiny houses on wheels.

At Alternative House, we build according to customer's requests.

• Some customers want to travel often and need the lightest weight option available.

• Others may be more interested in attaining the highest insulation possible.
  For that reason, we build our tiny house from different materials to meet their requirements. 

All homes are built to ensure proper snow load is accounted for, and to be able to live in any climate, with proper air ventilation, as well as heating system.

Each home has 3 main options for its heat source:

• Electric heaters

• LPG Gas/Electric ( a compact heater/ water boiler that you can use with LPG gas or electricity.

• Wood Stove

For customers seeking off-the-grid solar setups, we can install a solar system to their specific needs. 

​

All homes are built with a 3/4" city water hookup. 

Additionally, a freshwater tank with a water pump onboard and exterior water fill inlet can be added.

​

Greywater drain lines from fixtures are all connected underneath the trailer to one drain outlet.

​

We use Separett composting toilets as a standard option. It's possible to install a Flush toilet instead.

​

Examples of possible upgrade options include:

• Rear Glass French doors can be replaced with smaller doors, smaller windows or walls.

• Full-size tubs

• Skylights (fixed or operable)

• High-end appliance choices

• Custom woodworking

• Full time off-grid solar systems

• Special custom features

Our pricing for a completed tiny home includes the cost of all appliances! Different requests are welcomed and will need to be discussed to ensure you have a fully-functional home built for your needs.
